A HISTORY OF RIDE

Warren Smith - Executive Producer, Event Director
Warren is a professional skier riding for Oakley and Volkl and an internationally qualified ski coach . He began filming in 1996 and started producing the Snow Odyssey movies with his partner Guido Perrini in 1998. He is also the creator and director of the Ride Freesports Events. Together with Melody Sky, Warren created the Ride Freesport Film Festival which evolved out of their annual Ski Action Film night in which they have previously screened their earlier movies Winter Requiem , Coefficient Drag , the Snow's in the House Trilogy and Warren + Guido's earliest, the Snow Odyssey Trilogy . Warren has always used his forward thinking media knowledge in all parts of his business, and wanted to help those around him bring their movies to the big screen for others to see.

Melody Sky – Director, Camera
Melody directs and films the Ride Freesports TV programmes which are broadcast globally. She can always be seen with camera and tripod on back following the world's best freeskiers and documenting their riding and stories at the events. Together with Warren Smith, she is the person behind the concept and birth of the Ride Freesport Film Festival which originally started as a film night for her previously released ski action films Winter Requiem , Coefficient Drag and the Snow's in the House Trilogy . Following her own enjoyment of seeing her films on the big screen, she wanted to give their friends in the industry the chance to do the same thing and so the Ride Freesport Film Festival was born.

MONKEY VISION 2

Eddie (Slavemonkey) Thelwell - Director, Camera, Editor
Eddie bought his first camera in 2003 and made his first edit 'Monkey Vision' while riding on the summer glacier in Tignes with the infamous KSM. Since then Slavemonkey has finished school and spent seasons skiing in California, Switzerland and New Zealand while doing additional filming for the Ellis Brigham movies and Regime Change Productions. 'I like to film my friends and anyone I get to ski with who has unique style, and by making a movie it means everyone in Britain has a chance to see what's possible by skiers from the country with artificial ski resorts. I just bought a new camera so I am looking forward to making a better quality movie next year'.

PALLY LEARMOND PHOTOGRAPHY

Pally Learmond – Ski Action Photographer
Pally turned his attentions to photography seriously about 3-4 years ago after having a big ski crash which freaked him out! He then took refuge behind his camera and since then has been living in Europe and shooting anywhere else in the world that has mountains and a freeskiing and snowboarding community. He also has a keen eye for landscape photography and anywhere there is good snow and beautiful light. So when combined with the well know skiers he works with being placed in the scene, he can make a spectacular composition.

STICKS + STONES

Dave (Godfather) Young – Director, Camera, Editor
Has been skiing for a long time! Based in Tignes in the French Alps, he has become known as the Godfather. Over the last few years he has been spending many hours editing and plenty of time on the mountain filming his fellow riders. After having a change and moving to Verbier for the season last year with Andy Bennett, they produced Aggressive Alpine Skier for Ellis Brigham and couldn't resist following it up with Sticks and Stones…and yes, Dave has had his fare share of broken bones!

Andy Bennett – Director, Camera, Editor
Andy is a sponsored rider and has been competing all over the globe for quite a few years. An incredibly talented skier, he has travelled and been filmed and photographed for many movies and magazines. His first professionally produced movie last year, Aggressive Alpine Skier showed another side to his endless talent. Knowing what all his friends wanted to see in a ski movie, he was in the perfect position with the perfect people around him to produce the product. This year he produced Sticks + Stones with Dave Young for Ellis Brigham and it really shows that he definitely has an eye for the camera!

CAMILLA STODDART PHOTOGRAPHY

Camilla Stoddart – Ski Action Photographer
Capturing moments has always been a passion for Camilla. You will usually find her behind the camera in places like New Zealand's Wanaka and Switzerland's Verbier. She takes great joy in photographing the environment that professional skier's just so happen to be involved in. This year she has had several images published in reputable magazines and has been hailed as being an easy and relaxed ski photographer to hang out with on the mountain. With Camera in hand and skis on her feet, she has her vocation in life!

THE JOURNAL

Nic Watkins – Director, Camera, Editor
Nic has been directing the films from the conception of Run Jump Fly Productions . After learning the basics of filming at school, he developed this knowledge and is now the editor and principal cinematographer for the company. With the success of his first film Ski City , he quickly became enthusiastic about making a follow up. The Journal is evidence of the experience and enthusiasm gained from the release of his first movie.

Nick Southwell – Camera, Editor, PR Manager Shortly after his starring role in the first of Run Jump Fly's Productions ‘ Ski City ', Nick started to become interested in filming and editing. He has taken to this role in the new film ‘The Journal'. He is also the head of marketing and promotions for the company, but somehow he still finds the time to be one of the main stars in the film!
